Winter time at Middle Hole with frosty mornings and clean sharp air, its a time to enjoy what winter brings, the local pubs roaring fires and good food, a cosy cottage with local walks that you will have to yourself. Life in the garden has changed but some friends stay with us. The deer, badgers and foxes are never too far, the birds are still fed and depend on us to see them though the winter, the pheasants make their tracks though the snow in their red and gold coats, and on those cold clear nights when the stars are shining, the ghostly shape of the barn owl can be felt watching and waiting.
